The kids, now having a sacred wooden cross and a map on a piece of leather pointing to additional treasure near Santa Barbara, they realize that a criminal group--The Boss, Hondo and Mitch--is pursuing them for gold and artifacts. Lilli, Zane and Teddy navigate forests, sacred groves and mysterious portals, using Teddy's time-manipulation powers and Zane's remote viewing to track and evade the kidnappers. Their central goal is retrieving and protecting the Olismocchi treasure while avoiding capture.
