Helen is now retired after three very different careers as a nurse, a countryside ranger, and a college lecturer. She started writing and illustrating children's books during the Covid-19 pandemic, and to date has four books either published or in the process of being published. Now in her seventies, she spends her time enjoying the company of her grown-up children and grandchildren and her friends, gardening, and art.
