Marco A. Stancik est titulaire d'un doctorat en histoire de l'université fédérale du Paraná (UFPR) et est professeur associé à l'université d'État de Ponta Grossa (UEPG), où il donne des cours de premier cycle (licence et diplôme en histoire) et de deuxième cycle (maîtrise universitaire en histoire et maîtrise professionnelle en histoire). Il est l'auteur de plusieurs articles et livres sur le sujet.
