His first professional 'gig' has his new band, Amigos Ultimos, tripping over a 'dead guy by the pool'. Addie is caught in a whirlwind new, but unwanted, writing career for the Evritt County Gazette. With help from her two best buds, Lottie Frisham and Lacy Tindal, can Addie cover the news, deal with swindlers and a murder, placate the ruggedly good-looking Sheriff's deputy, and keep Will out of trouble? What about that movie producer? And what does her nemesis, Janet Makeshire, have to do with any of this chaos? Can Wanderwood ever be the same?
Judy Spoon Ertel, world traveler and author extraordinaire, spent her youth in Southwestern Oklahoma. In a very busy life, Judy wrote a weekly newspaper column, serialized short stories, directed plays for civic theater, co-owned and co-managed a furniture store, produced print advertising, and taught middle school and high school in Texas. She is very familiar with life in small towns like Wanderwood, TX, the fictional home of Addie Girard. Indeed, Addie first came into existence in Central Texas but soon grew to fruition in Central Colorado. Currently, Judy co-habs with her daughter, Kate, and two rambunctious cats and is actively writing the next Addie Girard Mystery!
