Marquita grew up with a love for reading from an early age. She discovered The Nancy Drew Series, The Hardy Boys Series, The Trixie Belden mysteries and the father of all mysteries, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the writer behind the Sherlock Holmes mysteries. She never got tired of reading and trying to solve the fictitious mysteries from these writers. Her imagination led to writing short stories that were based in mystery and intrigue. She grew up to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Education, becoming a school teacher and then later earned her Master's Degree in Social Work, becoming a social worker to help families in need. However, her love of story-telling has never left her, and she continued to craft stories from her imaginative brain. Throughout her life, she has been a storyteller. In addition to writing, Marquita loves crafting, watching science fiction/horror from the 50's, 60's and 70's, and reading books of all genres.
