A year has passed since Cloverdaisy 1 when, during a recent holiday in Cornwall, haunting vibes and ghostly callings filter through to Kate and Clara and 'call' them 'home'. Lost souls from the Abbey, through Ida the Nun and the Lord Abbott, combine with links to King Edward I - the Abbey's founder - and the Arthurian legend at Glastonbury. Following a meeting at the Church manse with the Minister, Reverend Donald and Arthur the baker, this leads them to the summer solstice where a mind-blowing plan is hatched through the enchantments, taking them back to 1270 - the year the Abbey was built prior to being consecrated. Ghosts, sorcerers, teleporting, a subterranean lake, haunted houses and a Wizard - Mervyn - takes them beyond earth and to new 'depths' - literally.
Autorenporträt
A family man based in Cheshire, I have been writing seriously for 12 years, both adult fiction and children's books. I have a wealth of life and literary experience and a vivid imagination. I speak to primary school children, libraries and other societies. I have now written and self-published six books, mostly children's stuff. I have a wife and daughter and two young granddaughters - the latter of whom provide valuable ideas and story lines for their genre. Author influences are numerous, but my favourites are Lewis Carroll, Roald Dahl, Edith Nesbit, C.S. Lewis and J.R. Tolkien. My first children's fantasy book - a 'book within a book' - was The Mystery of Cloverdaisy Cottage, Part 1 in November 2017, for kids between 7-10 years and brilliantly illustrated by Jim Crawley. Exciting, mysterious, magical, sad and funny, it is also educational and full of love. This wonderful dual story links historical myth and legend with the present day and human life with animal life. 'Cloverdaisy 2' is even more spellbinding and beyond any other fantasy ever written - with more to follow.
