Jacques-Raphaël Georges studied French pedagogy and African and Afro-American studies at Rhode Island College. He went on to earn a doctorate in French and Francophone literature at the University of Connecticut. Currently, Dr. Georges teaches at the University of New Hampshire in Manchester.
