Andrew Murray fue un destacado pastor, teólogo y autor cristiano sudafricano, nacido en 1828 en Graaff-Reinet, Sudáfrica. Hijo de un ministro reformado, recibió formación teológica en los Países Bajos y regresó a su país para servir como pastor en la Iglesia Reformada Holandesa. Su ministerio más influyente se desarrolló en Wellington, donde también impulsó la formación espiritual y misionera.
