Every life is unique, and so is her story. A young 20-year-old traveller finds herself in an adventure of a lifetime, all alone on the other side of the world, in a country down under. Her reason for being there? Because it was the furthest she could possibly go. Lets not call it finding herself, because she was never lost. Lets call it reinforcing who she is. She embarks on an adventurous journey, a million adrenaline highs and some sad goodbyes She meets strangers along the way that help her realise one thing: no one has really figured everything out. Because guess what? Everyone is living life for the first time. This story serves a captivating mix between reliving exciting adventures the writer experienced, and the in-depth reflection on life itself. Coming of age meets travel memoir, fiction meets reality. This story is for people of all ages to relate, to learn, to be inspired and to either provoke an existential crisis or end one.
Autorenporträt
If Lara Mae is one thing: it is a dreamer. A woman with big emotions and a hopeless romantic, constantly driving to create a fulfilling and adventurous life. A life full of travelling the world, hiding in her room engrossed in books, or studying to build a successful career, whilst also living through the most random and bizarre side quests that add just a little bit of spice to her story. One of which: becoming the author of this book, sharing her intriguing realisations and thoughts with everyone that might want to read them. She was born and raised in Germany but grew up in a bilingual household. It makes her life that little bit more interesting, by also providing more room for a potential existential crisis and the impossible dream of wanting to experience everything there is to do in life.
