The TNA is a function recognised as an integral part of any well designed training programme by training theorists and academicians. Its logics is simple: to utilize most effectively the training investments and resources. Most of the organisations have realised the importance of employees of an organisation, and treat the human factors as the asset of an organisation. Employees are moulded and given shape by the organisation according to the policy framed by the top management. For proper moulding and shaping of employees the phase of training plays a dominant role. The training programme is said to be a successful one when the training needs of the employees are properly analysed. The TNA is said to be a proactive measure for training. The study of training needs occupies an important place in the field of human resources management. For the last two decades human resources were given top priority in the whole structure of an organisation. The present study is intended to analyse the various aspects of human sides on the progress of TNA. The study on training needs plays a dominant role in developed nations where billions of dollars have been invested.
