What if God's voice is closer than you think-woven gently into the fabric of your daily life? Could it be that certain words arrive not by chance, but as whispers from God Himself? Waypoints: Sailing the Waters of Faith, Healing, and God's Love is a Christian spiritual memoir that charts a deeply personal voyage through trauma, hope, and divine intimacy. Blending lyrical storytelling with biblical truth, Michelle Daniels invites readers aboard her journey-a decades-long expedition through open waters and inner storms, where God speaks through waves, anchors, and stillness alike. Set against the backdrop of life aboard a sailboat in the Caribbean and anchored in a life-long relationship with God, this inspiring memoir explores how faith can flourish in both the calm and chaos of life. Each chapter centers on a powerful spiritual word-like Trust, Forgiveness, Hope, and Joy-as a waypoint in the author's healing and growth. These Words were more than metaphors. Each one became a sacred space-an invitation to encounter something of God's nature. In Hope, she found His steadiness. In Delight, His nearness. In With You Always, the quiet promise that He never left. Along the way, readers are invited to reflect on their own spiritual journey and encounter the steady, pursuing presence of a loving God. For women of faith seeking healing from shame, spiritual burnout, or past wounds, this book offers both companionship and invitation. Daniels speaks candidly about the wounds of abuse, the burden of religious shame within an unhealthy marriage, and the weight of perfectionism that shaped her view of God. Yet her story is never without hope. With the gentle authority of lived experience, she shows that no depth is too deep for God's grace. If you are drawn to books about hearing God's voice, overcoming religious shame, or finding restoration after trauma, Waypoints will resonate deeply. Fans of authors like Ann Voskamp, Henri Nouwen, or Emily P. Freeman will find a kindred spirit here.
