Diagnosis relies on a thorough medical history, careful physical examination, and, rarely, endoscopy and radiology. Management includes both medical and surgical options, and with early diagnosis and treatment, the prognosis is excellent.

Dr. Al-Salem is a senior consultant Pediatric Surgeon and Pediatric Urologist. Dr. Al-Salem is currently working in the Mouwasat Hospital in Qatif. He has more than 20 years of experience in the field of pediatric surgery and pediatric urology. Dr Al-Salem has written 7 books and published around 184 manuscripts both in local and international journals. He has attended several workshops and presented several manuscripts at both national and international conferences. Dr Al-Salem is also working as an editor of several journals and has reviewed more than 170 manuscripts.
