That early curiosity developed into a writing career focused on urban fantasy and science fiction-genres that allow me to explore complex characters, hidden worlds, and the consequences of power in all its forms.Before turning my focus to fiction, I worked extensively in information technology, an experience that shaped my appreciation for structure, problem-solving, and the ways technology changes how we live. Those influences often surface in my science fiction writing, where human choices and technological possibilities collide.Outside of writing, I invest my time in other creative pursuits. I run small businesses centered on books, gaming, and miniature painting, and I am an active tabletop RPG world-builder. These hobbies provide fresh perspectives and help fuel the imagination behind my stories.I live in Statesville, North Carolina with my wife, Tracy, and our three children-Zachary, Connor, and Kaitlyn-who inspire and encourage me every step of the way. Our home is filled with books, miniatures, pets, and more creative projects than I can reasonably manage, but I wouldn't have it any other way.Whether I'm crafting a new fantasy novel, outlining a science fiction idea, or painting a dragon late at night, my goal is always to build worlds that spark wonder and invite readers to see their own world a little differently.
