Sri Lanka is a fascinating island in the Indian Ocean and a dream of a holiday destination. There are currently 26 national parks. Several hundred bird species live there and more than 30 of them are endemic, i.e. they can not be observed in their natural habitat anywhere else. Therefore BirdLife International declared Sri Lanka a EBA-P (Primary Endemic Bird Area). It is almost unavoidable to discover some interesting birds in Sri Lanka. This multilingual (en, de, es, fr, ja, cn) bird guide introduces the entire bird life of Sri Lanka in colored pictures. As a bonus, links to HD videos of more than 70 bird species are included. Where available, links to the valuable websites of UNESCO, BirdLife International and the Ramsar Organization are provided, which characterize the country and help to find the best sites for birdwatching.
