Autorenporträt
Andrea Gomez, known as "MsJAG" since her high school track days, learned
early on that speed and discipline can open doors. Her talent on the track
earned her a full scholarship to the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, where
she became an All-American.

After earning degrees in Psychology and English, she shifted gears to nursing and returned to Toronto to begin her career. She became a Registered Nurse in 1996, completed her Intensive Care training a year later, and has spent decades working in the ICU, where long hours and high pressure are part of the job.

Seeing how burnout affects nurses, she made it a priority to help
others manage the demands of their work without sacrificing their wellbeing.

That focus led her to writing. She has published books and articles on
burnout, stress, and maintaining balance in high-pressure environments. She also writes about workplace stress and job burnout on

Whether at the bedside, writing, or staying active, her goal remains the same; helping people take care of themselves in demanding careers.
