As they follow a trail leading to ritualistic activities in the woods surrounding the asylum, they realize Hildreth is targeting people he considers "sinners." A new victim goes missing, and despite their efforts, Wulf and Watson find the person dead in a staged rituala devastating blow as the victim is someone close to Wulf.

Determined to stop Hildreth, Wulf and Watson dig deeper and uncover that powerful figures in Havenwood are aware of Hildreth's activities and may even be complicit. They face increasing resistance and threats as they close in on the conspiracy. Wulf discovers someone he trusts has been working with Hildreth, feeding him information and covering up his tracks. This betrayal shakes Wulf but strengthens his resolve. Hildreth sets a trap using Wulf's past trauma to lure him into danger. Watson recognizes the peril and rushes to assist him.

The final confrontation unfolds within the crumbling walls of Havenwood Asylum. In a deadly game of cat and mouse, Wulf confronts both Hildreth and his own inner demons. During this showdown, it is revealed why Wulf originally fled Havenwood. Ultimately, Wulf defeats Hildreth, bringing him to justice or killing him in their final struggle. The conspiracy is exposed, implicating those who were complicit in Hildreth's crimes. With justice served and old wounds confronted, Wulf finds a measure of peace. He faces a choice between staying in Havenwood or returning to LAPD but emerges forever changed by his ordeal.
