History is a continuous series of stories, in which there are tragedies, tragedies, and farces. The human being today is the human being yesterday, his virtues are the same, and his faults are the same, and the lessons that we derive from the facts of history are no less wonderful than the lessons that we derive from the incidents of daily life in our modern society. These stories contain entertainment, and they contain a lesson! It contains twenty Egyptian stories, the events of which took place during the era of the Pharaohs, in Thebes and Memphis, and the era of the Ptolemies in Alexandria, and during the Roman occupation that preceded the Arab conquest by a few centuries. The occurrence of the events of these stories in the eras I mentioned explains the title the author gave to them: "Egypt of the Ancients."
