Author R. E. Fox, one of thirteen children, was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. At six years old she desired to grow up to be a rodeo clown. That dream was the impetus for the creation of her clown character, Grammie Glitter. Perhaps 'Grammie Glitter' will perform in a rodeo in a future book.
