Produktbeschreibung
This brief overviews the application and significance of high-speed photography in experimental fluid mechanics, specifically focusing on the detailed observation and analysis of bubble dynamics, drop dynamics, and wake dynamics. It explores the development and various application scenarios of high-speed imaging technology, using it to investigate microscopic phenomena within these areas. The book covers key topics such as bubble collapse and deformation, particle acceleration mechanisms, and cavitating flow patterns in bubble dynamics; droplet impact, coalescence, and fragmentation in drop dynamics; and the wake phenomena of bluff bodies during translation, rotation, and interactions with flat surfaces in wake dynamics. Through experimental observations and mechanism research, the book provides insights into the underlying processes and behaviors in fluid systems, making it a valuable resource for researchers and students in fluid mechanics and energy related fields.

Autorenporträt
Junwei Shen is a doctoral candidate at North China Electric Power University. His research interest focuses on the cavitation and bubble dynamics within confined space. He has published 13 journal papers based on high-speed photography for investigating the bubble jet and interface motion.

Shaowu Ma is a doctoral candidate at North China Electric Power University. He mainly focuses on the research of the cavitation bubble collapse dynamics near boundaries. Based on the high-speed photography technology, he has achieved multi-view visualization on the bubble deformation and movement characteristics, with a maximum shooting speed of 1 million fps.

Yuning Zhang is a professor at North China Electric Power University. He primarily focuses on the research in cavitation and bubble dynamics. He has published 3 monographs in Springer Press and over 90 papers in journals such as Nature Communications, Physics of Fluids, and Energy. He was selected as one of the "top 2% of scientists in the world", released by Stanford University. In addition, he is an Associate Editor of IET Renewable Power Generation and an Editorial Board Member of 6 international/national journals including Journal of Hydrodynamics.

Jian Chang is a professor at North China Electric Power University. He is mainly engaged in the research on multiphase flow and reaction engineering. He has published over 30 papers in journals such as AIChE Journal, Chemical Engineering Science, Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, and Powder Technology. He serves as section chairman of the annual meeting 2023 of Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China and the 10th China Fluidization Conference. He received an award from the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.
