Intrigue in Portugal demonstrates Nalini de Sielvie's versatile story-telling skills and profound understanding of human nature in the depiction of everyday characters with their volatile emotions. Nalini has published eleven books to date, and her numerous literary achievements are an acknowledgement of her undeniable talent in creating original heartfelt stories that captivate and remain with readers long after the final chapter comes to an end. Her writing style has been described as 'painting with words' because of her vivid descriptions of exotic places that immediately transport readers into the spell-binding realms of her imagination where they can easily relate to realistic and memorable characters. Nalini holds diplomas in journalism, script-writing, commercial art, and pianoforte, and worked for the Commonwealth Government of Australia from 1986 to 2005. Writers World Queensland and various publications have included her awardwinning short stories and poems in several anthologies. The Society of Women Writers, Victoria, included her short stories and poems in an anthology 'Climb the Mountain.' Nalini was also included in Who's Who of Australian Writers, and is a member of The Australian Writers Guild, Writers Victoria, The Society of Women Writers, Victoria, Peninsula Arts Society, and was President of Authors Australia Inc.
