When we think of rock stars - particularly those in rough, "edgy" bands - we are entrained to think of them as having come from regular, working-class backgrounds, and having worked their way up the slippery pole to success through hard work and talent alone.

When we think of rock stars - particularly those in rough, "edgy" bands - we are entrained to think of them as having come from regular, working-class backgrounds, and having worked their way up the slippery pole to success through hard work and talent alone.

The reality is that all household name musicians are selected for success, and often this is down purely to the families that they are born into. Barely a plumber in sight. But no shortage of generals, admirals, politicians, civil servants and spies.

ln this, the fourth book in the 'Musical Truth' series, Mark Devlin offers further evidence to show how the corporate music industry exists solely for the mind-control of the masses, with artists becoming little more than hand-picked puppets.

Autorenporträt
Mark Devlin is a UK-based club and radio DJ, music journalist and author, specialising in R&B, soul, hip hop and other forms of black music. Since 1990 he has played gigs all over the UK, and in over 40 countries around the world.

In 2010, he underwent what he refers to as a conscious awakening, sparking questions about the nature of reality, consciousness and our true selves. His special area of interest was how this ties into the mainstream music industry, and the way in which A-list artists are used to manipulate and mind-control the masses in line with a much larger agenda. He now talks on radio and in person about such subjects, and produces an ongoing series of related music and speech podcasts.

In 2016, he published his book, 'Musical Truth', bringing together five years' worth of research into these subjects.
