In this book, Sylvia Beach presents her memoirs about creating success, and how she began, presenting to us the obstacles she faced, as well as telling her stories with the visitors, readers, writers, and some publishers, who contributed greatly to the success of the library. As Sylvia reported her experience in the world of publishing, this experience was a qualitative leap in the library's history, especially since it did not work on publishing many books, but most of its interest was in printing and publishing James Joyce's famous work, Ulysses.
