Part II looks at skill formation systems in the Japanese dominated automobile industry in Southeast Asia and in Part III the authors focus on the EU and the very different influence of Japanese investment.

Rogier Busser is Head of the Programme for Management Studies, Leiden University and is Coordinator for Academic Programmes at the International Institute for Asian Studies. Yuri Sadoi is Affiliated Fellow at the International Institute for Asian Studies. He previously worked for Human Resources Development at Mitsubishi Motors, Japan.
