Dr. Avijit Ghosh (PhD, IIT Guwahati) is presently working in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. His research interests are in the area of Fuel Cells; Graphene/Synthesis and its application; Hydrogen production storage and utilization; Li-ion battery. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed national and international journals and presented a paper in more than 25 national/international conferences. He has received several awards. Presently, six PhD students are working under his supervision. He has completed three sponsored research projects, two CSR projects, and four consultancy projects. He has conducted many conferences/workshops/seminars as the organizing Secretary/Convener. He served as the guest editor in the four international journals and edited three books. He has also published six book chapters. He served as the honorary Secretary of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers for the period of 2020 - 2023. Presently he is appointed as the Director, IIChE Training Institute for the period of five years from January 2024. Dr. Vilas Sapkal is currently working as Vice Chancellor of MGM University, Aurangabad. He served as Vice Chancellor of Nagpur University in 2010-2014. He obtained B. Tech. Chemical Engineering degree from LIT, Nagpur and M. Tech and Ph.D. from IIT Bombay. His research interests are in the field of novel separation processes like membrane technology, reactive distillation, bioreactor in food, pharmaceutical, chemical industries. He has published 40 papers in international journals and 50 papers in national journals. He completed number of research projects of Rs 1.8 cr sanctioned by Government agencies. He has guided 20 Ph.D. students. He has received Distinguished Speakers Award of IIChE, Distinguished Service Award by Amravati University. Dr. U. Kamachi Mudali is currently Vice Chancellor of Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a deemed to be University of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) since May 2023. Earlier, he was Vice Chancellor of VIT Bhopal University (2021-23), Distinguished Scientist of DAE and Chief Executive & Chairman of Heavy Water Board (2017-20). Dr. Mudali joined the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam in 1984 and served upto 2017, and finally as Director of Materials Chemistry and Metal Fuel Cycle. Dr. Mudali is an internationally renowned materials and corrosion specialist with forty years of R&D, Industry and academic expertise. Dr. Mudali has 474 Journal publications, 25 edited Books, 5 patents, 312 Honour Lectures, and 13870 citations with an h-index of 56 and i-10 index of 313 and is recognised in the World’s Top 2% scientists from India in the field of Materials. Dr. Mudali has guided/coordinated UG, PG, and Ph.D. theses of 162 students from various academic institutions. He is the Chief Editor of Journal of Electrochemical Society of India and Editor-in-Chief of IIM-Springer Book Series and CII-Corrosion Management Committee Booklet Series. He is Fellow of 12 professional associations including 4 from abroad. He was honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award from Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India, Electrochemical Society of India and National Corrosion Council of India; Homi Bhabha Science and Technology Award from DAE, and Frank Newman Speller award from NACE International, USA, for outstanding contributions in corrosion engineering.
