On a bitter cold evening, a soldier reads a story to his fever-stricken sister ....

This free companion piece to the Eirenic Verses is a sapphic fantasy fairy tale that delves deeper into the mythology of the series' primary locale.

Luridalr, a tribeswoman, is the most ardent devotee of the goddess Poesy, who is said to write the world. Her literary gifts are renowned, as is her faith. However, Luridalr can't imagine the true power of her words until she meets Alna-Rose, a strange woman from a land far away. Too besotted with this new companion's beauty, Luridalr ignores her unusual attributes and pens romantic lines instead.

Tragedy smashes this reverie when Luridalr returns from a tribal meeting to find her people were slaughtered. The only possible culprits are Alna-Rose's people, spurred on by her tyrannical mother. Heartbroken, Luridalr and the remaining tribespeople flee from the invaders, only to find themselves protected by a powerful presence who arrives in their darkest hour. The ensuing trials challenge Luridalr's faith in her goddess - and change the face of the world.

Immerse yourself in enchanting prose, which echoes the classic fairy tale style of Brothers Grimm and Andrew Lang. Featuring 13 original poems, Saint Luridalr and the Peony Phoenix is a satisfying one-hour read that provides greater context for the Eirenic Verses, particularly the origins of its High Poetry magic system.

Autorenporträt
Cameron Sidhe (pronounced "shee") is a fantasy author living in Cleveland, Ohio. She enjoys making readers cry and throw their phones across the room. An avid lesbian, Sidhe seeks to propagate the LGBT agenda with every word she writes.

Sidhe's work is inspired by her Bachelor of Arts in English, which made her overuse the term "succor," and her Master of Arts in Global Interactions, which made her never want to become a politician. Over three people have read her poetry.

Other than tormenting fictional characters, Sidhe's favorite activities include spoiling her two pit bulls, rock climbing, and horseback riding.
