Dr. Phindile Zanele Mabaso is a South African medical doctor whose love for literature was born under starlit skies in the deep rural landscapes of KwaZulu-Natal. The last born of eight children, she grew up surrounded by laughter, storytelling, and the timeless wisdom of her mother's folktales, tales that planted the first seeds of imagination in her young heart.

Though she would go on to pursue a career in medicine, her passion for storytelling never dimmed and Dr. Mabaso never stopped writing. Her notebooks, filled with poetry and reflections, may never have been published, but they kept her love for words alive. She is a firm believer in the power of kindness, courage, and the spirit of Ubuntu. Values passed down by both her loving parents and echoed in every story she tells.

A proud mother of three curious, story-loving children, Dr. Mabaso began building a personal children's library when her first daughter was just two months old - and the journey has never stopped. Her home is now filled with books, imagination, and the joy of passing on stories that honor identity, spark creativity, and connect generations.
