He has published over 200 research papers (over 150 of these in peer-reviewed international journals, conference proceedings, and books). His publications have been cited more than 3000 times (H-index = 30) according to Google Scholar. His research interests include data analytics and visualization, user involvement, software technologies, social network analysis and mining, and innovation management with a particular focus on application within data-driven health technology (intelligent monitoring and decision support; predictive models for prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis; digital health systems offering novel personalized data collection, treatment plans and interventions). He is serving on the Editorial Boards for the Journal of Network and Computer Applications (Elsevier), the Social Network Analysis and Mining (Springer), the Journal of Healthcare Informatics Research (Springer), and the Frontiers Journal of Digital Mental Health. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Network Modeling Analysis in Health Informatics and Bioinformatics (Springer) DR. ABDULLAH ALGHAMDI has a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Systems Engineering from Tennessee State University, Nashville, TN. Dr. Alghamdi obtained his M.Sc in Networking and Systems Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY and B.Sc in Information Systems from the Al-Imam University, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Alghamdi is currently working as an associate professor of Information Systems at Najran University, Najran, Saudi Arabia. He is also trustee and executive secretary of scientific board. He has many publications in reputable journals and conferences. He is experienced in research, administration and teaching. He has been reviewer and guest editor of many journals. His current research topics are: interdisciplinary applications, and big data analytics, cybersecurity, networking, and IoT. PROF QING TAN is a professor. He earned his PhD in Cybernetics Engineering for Robotics from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1993. The Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute invited him as a foreign senior research fellow in 1994. He did his post-doctoral fellowship at University of Alberta. He joined Athabasca University in 2007 with extensive IT industrial experiences. Dr. Tan is teaching and developing undergraduate and graduate courses including Mobile Computing, Computer Networking, Cloud Computing, and Enterprise Modeling and supervising the students. His research interests include Cyber-Physical Systems, Telepresence Robotics, Internet of Things, AR/VR/MR, Big Data Analytics, Mobile Computing, Adaptive Learning Technology, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security and Data Privacy, and Location-based Technology. His research also involves using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Blockchain for application solutions, and studying on the social impact of advanced computing and information technologies. Dr. Tan was one of the earlier researchers to introduce the location awareness of mobile devices into mobile learning applications. Dr. Tan developed the Location-Based Dynamic Grouping Algorithm for collaborative mobile learning, the 5R Adaptation Framework for location-based mobile learning system, and the Location-based Object Identification Algorithm for using AR in adaptive mobile learning. Dr. Tan is striving to solve the application issues. Recently, his research mainly focuses on the remote lab solution: Telepresence Robot Empowered Smart Lab (TRESL) to enable online students to conduct their lab works via the Internet, and Privacy Protection in the Big Data. Dr. Tan received many research grants and published many papers on international journals and conferences. He has co-chaired or been Technical Program Committee members of many international conferences. He has delivered keynotes and invited speeches for many international conferences. He is also sitting as editorial board members and reviewers of many academic journals as well as an editor-in-chief.
