Francis Kofi Achampong is emeritus professor at Penn State University and emeritus chancellor of Penn State Mont Alto and Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus. He spent forty-three years in various positions in higher education, including assistant, associate, and full professor, department head, dean, campus academic officer, and chancellor. He received an LLB degree from the University of Ghana, an LLM degree from the University of London's Kings College, a PhD from the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), and a second LLM from Georgetown University Law Center. He is admitted to practice in New York, Virginia, and before the U.S. Supreme Court. He holds a postgraduate certificate in Management and Leadership in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and is an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow. He is the author of Workplace Sexual Harassment Law: Principles, Landmark Developments, and Framework for Effective Risk Management, as well as many articles in law reviews, insurance, risk management, and planning journals. His work has been cited in federal court decisions and by many authors. As a polio survivor, he is passionate about global polio eradication. He has served on many community and non-profit boards and taught discipleship classes in several churches. He is married with three adult children.
