Autorenporträt

The daughter of an opera singer, Lizet spent countless hours at her mother's rehearsals, observing how characters were studied to convey emotion. This, and growing up between the privileged and the less fortunate gave her insights that later shaped her writing. Upon graduating from music school, she worked as a copyist for orchestras and an engraver for major publishing houses. After raising her son, Lizet returned to college and built a successful career in Human Resources until her retirement in 2020.

Today, she cultivates her own Elixir of Life, by walking at dawn with her dog, swimming laps, and practicing Buddhism and acoustic guitarwhile writing historical fiction inspired by her ancestral roots and the people who have touched her heart.
