Paul Strathern is a Somerset Maugham Award-winning writer and academic. He studied philosophy at Trinity College, Dublin and has lectured in philosophy, mathematics and modern Italian poetry. He has written numerous books on science, philosophy, history, literature and economics, and has two highly successful series of short introductory books.
