In the representational aspect of my work, I use forms or subjects from daily culture that I find are steeped in multiplicitous meanings and juxtapose a small set to create a dissonant mental space for contemplation. Since this is ultimately a personal and subjective space, each work in its totality represents epistemological decisions fundamental to my wanderings, and by proxy, as the work appears to each viewer. My hope is to expose the cultural and social influences into a dialogue; even if solely within our own minds; to create a path to equanimity.
