Alexis Stefanovich-Thomson is the author of the Patrick Bird Mystery series. The first book in the series, The Road to Heaven, was nominated for an Edgar Award. He is a past winner of the Black Orchid Novella Award, The Crime Writers of Canada Best Crime Novella Award, and the Toronto Star Short Story Contest (third place). He lives in Toronto.
