There is an acute lack of a theology of worship in Baptist Russian-speaking contexts, with the ramifications of the Tsarist, and later Soviet, persecution limiting its development even to this day. LEONID MIKHOVICH has a PhD from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands. He currently serves as president of the Baptist Union in Belarus and rector of the Minsk Theological Seminary, Belarus. He has been actively involved in ministry since 2002.
