Walter Scott and Napoleon were born two years apart on 15 August (1771 and 1796 respectively). Napoleon single-handedly created modern warfare, but Scott did the same for adventure stories and modern history. He lived in Scotland and was regularly paid US$ 1.5 million per book with books being translated simultaneously in many languages.
