The prophecy of the last days has no conditions because in this prophecy, God reveals the rise and fall of the kingdoms of the world from the times of Daniel to John, the Writer of the book of Revelation, who was shown things that must soon take place at that time and at the end of the history of this world. Daniel boldly declares that God is sovereign over all kings and kingdoms: "His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation... He does according to His will... and no one can restrain His hand or say to Him, 'What have you done?'" (Daniel 4:34-35). Daniel reminds us that all human authority exists only by God's permission.
Now, because the words in the book were closed and sealed, we can open and unseal them through the book of Revelation. It becomes interesting at the beginning of the first verse of Revelation, John alludes to Daniel 2 when he says that in what follows, he's going to describe things that "must happen soon." The words "must happen" recall the "must happen" in Daniel 2. Revelation follows that phrase with the word "soon." According to Daniel 2:45," .... The great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure." The king was told what shall come to pass hereafter, and what follows that phrase in Daniel is the words "in the time of the end" mentioned in Daniel 12:9.
In Revelation 1:1, John wrote about the things which must happen soon, as it was mentioned in Daniel 2:45, "told what shall come to pass hereafter, "happening in the time of the end. Because Revelation is often described as "the Revelation of Jesus," meaning the revelation to John, it is actually a revelation of Christ (1:1).
