Michael Tarulli served as a police officer with Victoria Police from 1989 to 2000. He suffered traumatic injuries - including a spinal cord injury - from a car accident while on duty in 1993 at Heidelberg, only to return to administrative tasks after intensive rehabilitation. Since then, he has earned a Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Swinburne University. He has dedicated his time to volunteering with not-for-profit organisations, and is an advocate for people with disabilities. He featured in the 2024 short film Through These Crossings, a Good Grief Production.Michael is a passionate outdoor climber in the Blue Mountains and the Grampians. 'You Be Strong ...' My Mother Said is Michael's first book.
