Jason Moore, PhD, PA, is a clinician, researcher and wilderness medicine educator with 30 years of experience in remote and austere environments. He holds a doctorate in epidemiology and public health, and his clinical background includes general and trauma surgery, emergency medicine, and critical care.He has guided some of the best water in the United States, supported expeditions in Central America, Tibet, and China, and explored remote regions of South America, Africa, Australia, and isolated atolls in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Jason is the founder of Island Fly, a premier East Coast fly-fishing outfitter. He shares his expertise through peer-reviewed publications, academic teaching, and conference presentations, while also stepping in as cohost of the television series Wild Fish Wild Places. His work brings clinical medicine, research, and field experience together to support adventurers in remote environments.
