Bryl lives on the Queensland Sunshine Coast. Her writing career began at school when she had an essay and a short story published in the local newspaper. She adapted Shakespearean plays for performance by her Year 6 class and wrote plays and poetry in her high school years. She worked as a medical practitioner and lawyer before returning to writing. Her interests include reading, travel and hiking.
