She and her husband are involved with helping the homeless as well. Their church is a cold shelter for the homeless, and Bedell provides blankets for those who do not come to the cold shelter. Bedell enjoys playing the piano, crafts, embroidery, and gardening. She has a sister, who has three children and two grandchildren. She also has a brother who has three children. Bedell is an elementary school teacher, who taught grades K-5 for ten years. She loves teaching young children!
