Franklin C. Annis is a military philosopher, historian, educational theorist, and veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He holds a Doctor of Education degree from Northhcentral University and a Master of Military History degree from the University of Birmingham (UK). He is a recipient of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College "Order of the Iron Pen" for publications advancing military knowledge and the profession of arms.
