Ivan's interest in British Columbia's history is evident by the fact that he obtained two master's degrees in the subject forty years apart. He has continually maintained an interest in the career of John Robson and his role in British Columbia. In retirement, among other activities, he enjoys taking friends and family for rides in his British collector car.
