Produktbeschreibung
'America and Landscape' explores the crossroads between American myth, landscape and personal identity. Through his texts, Yániz weaves a lyrical narrative that oscillates between the intimate and the universal, the concrete and the abstract, sparking a dialogue between the individual and the vast American landscape, which is elevated to the category of postmodern archetype. Yániz delves into American mythology, evoking iconic figures such as Georgia OKeeffe and exploring themes such as migration, the frontier and the transformation of territory, while maintaining an introspective layer, interweaving personal reflections with observations on art, nature and language. Throughout the book, Yániz demonstrates a great ability to fuse diverse cultural references, from classical literature to contemporary art. His verses incorporate multiple languages and play with form, creating a rich and multifaceted poetic tapestry. The book explores themes of loneliness, change, the search for identity and the relationship between humans and their environment. Yániz uses the American landscape as a canvas on which the poetic self is projected, turning the desert, highways and urban spaces into metaphors for the human experience. 'America and Landscape' is distinguished by its innovative approach to contemporary poetry. Yániz combines a poetic sensibility with an acute awareness of the social and cultural complexities of the world around us. His work reflects a young yet mature voice, inviting the reader to contemplate the intersections between myth, reality and the process of signifying our experiences, offering a fresh and provocative perspective on timeless themes.
