We're drowning in nonsense but starving for authenticity. We live in an era flooded with spin, hype, and sensationalism, where the line between persuasion and deception has never been blurrier. In The Golden Age of Bull$hit, behavioral investor Mario Tufano unpacks the economic, technological, and psychological forces fueling the rise of bullshit and introduces the Bullshit Paradox: the idea that this dynamic can both distort reality and, at times, drive innovation. Inspired by his own challenges during the fog of COVID, this book examines how bullshit operates and why it works. From financial markets and political theater to curated influencer feeds, "hot hand" moments in sports, and exaggerated media cycles, this book explores how this isn't just a modern phenomenon-it's deeply rooted in our society's structure and human psychology. With the Ten No-BS Commandments, readers will discover a behavioral roadmap for staying grounded in a world where narrative often trumps fact. Whether you are an investor, student, or simply trying to make sense of the chaos, this book helps you not just survive but thrive in The Golden Age of Bull$hit. In this book, you'll discover:Why bullshit spreads faster than truth and why we fall for it The behavioral forces behind hype cycles, fads, and frauds How marketing, money, and media contribute to the belief feedback loop How to spot and survive the next big illusion
