Marianne Sprangers originated in Wisconsin, the land of the frozen: tundra, custard, and most waterways two-thirds of a year. The youngest in her family, she grew up with an insatiable appetite for attention and sugar-infused foods, and spent ample time engaged in outdoor sports such as freezing, shivering, and turning blue. When warmed, Sprangers dabbles in art, rides her bicycle, takes long walks, and writes things down, which is why she has relocated to the South and finally finished that book she said she was always going to write.
