Melenaite Uata SR - "Mel" for short - was born in Tonga, "The Friendly Island," and is the third of eleven children. She migrated to the US in 1976 and now lives in Portland, Oregon, where she is a proud mother of four beautiful children and three grandchildren. Since she was little, she has been able to captivate an audience with her words.
