It is common knowledge that life, in itself, is incredibly hard. Life as a rat however? Just being alive was a suicide mission. After being told time and time again about the blood thirsty, flesh eating, winged and fanged beasts of the outside world, three rodent brothers were convinced by their Mother not to ever step foot outside of the Giant's holdings; so they were obedient. All listened. Except Burrow. With an expanding, ever questioning mind and an adventurous spirit, Burrow decides that Destiny is in his own hands. He refuses to spend the rest of his days trapped in some cage that their Mother Mince has brainwashed them into thinking is their home. What makes it worse is no one will listen to him. His brothers' Cheesy and Sharp had been thoroughly convinced by their Mother that the outside was nothing but poison, and that they were fine just how they were. In the house, under the Giant's roof. Now Burrow has to fight for his freedom and somehow convince his Family that they deserve to be free too! Especially now that one of nature's most dangerous predators has invaded their home....In this tale of death, blood, survival and grit, the main character discovers what it means to truly be hated for what you are in society. He puts a brave face forward despite the many attempts of those that want to devour his flesh for their own sustenance; and he discovers who he is along the way.
