Dr RS Bridger is currently Honorary General Treasurer and a Past President of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors in the United Kingdom. He is an experienced consultant and educationalist in human factors and ergonomics. Dr Bridger worked in academia for 15 years, teaching ergonomics at a postgraduate level before becoming Head of Human Factors at the Institute of Naval Medicine. He has supported safety investigations in health care and the maritime sector and offers training in many areas of human factors and ergonomics. He is the author of several other books, including A Guide to Active Working in the Modern Office (CRC Press, 2019).
