I was born in Scotland, grew up in England in the beautiful and historic county of Yorkshire. I came to the US for graduate school and have had a long and varied career as a university professor of Psychology and a psychotherapist. But Literature has always been my first love. Upon retirement I joined a writing group and have completed four and a half novels, so far. "Kitty Donovan", volume one in the "Fire and Journey" series, is my first attempt at self-publishing.
