"What if the coincidences in your life were actually the fingerprints of God? At just 21 years old, Tian Chin was told he had one year to live. But God had other plans. What began as a private journal chronicling his battle with illness, the pain of displacement, immigration struggles, and personal loss soon unfolded into a journey marked by miraculous healings, answered prayers, and divine encounters. From a life uprooted to a newfound homeland, from hospital beds to restored health, from barrenness to fatherhood, The Divine Coincidence is more than one man's story-it's a powerful testimony to a God who brings beauty out of brokenness. Through his suffering, Tian became a vessel of hope and transformation-not just for himself, but for those he loved most. His pain became the very path through which faith and salvation reached others. Whether you're walking through hardship or searching for meaning, this book will open your eyes to the truth that nothing in your life is random. The Divine Coincidence will stir your faith, lift your perspective, and remind you that with God, every detail has a purpose-and no story is beyond redemption."
Tian Chin Born in Kajang, Malaysia, Tian Chin is the third of nine children and now calls Adelaide home. His story is one marked by miracles-each chapter filled with divine interventions that defied medical predictions and worldly expectations. At 21, Tian was diagnosed with aplastic anaemia and given one year to live. After every treatment option in Malaysia was exhausted, he was flown to Sydney, where a bone marrow transplant from his younger sister gave him a second chance. Though the transplant saved his life, it ushered in decades of complications-hepatitis, graft-versus-host disease (GvHD), myasthenia gravis, and lung damage-alongside immigration challenges and the emotional weight of long-term recovery.Yet at every turn, God provided: free housing during critical seasons, medical breakthroughs, immigration mercy-including the unexpected gift of permanent residency-and above all, spiritual transformation through a newfound faith in Jesus Christ. In 1992, Tian married Kim, his high-school sweetheart and unwavering companion throughout years of illness and separation. Though doctors twice declared Tian infertile, they were blessed with three miracle children. And now, their testimony continues into a new generation with the arrival of their first grandchild-a living, breathing reminder that God's promises extend beyond what we can see.Since 1990, Tian has been active in ministry among Mandarin-speaking communities in Sydney and Adelaide-leading connect groups, mentoring young families, translating sermons, and hosting international students with a gift for hospitality and heart-led care. He and Kim continue to co-lead a family group at Futures Church (formerly Paradise AOG, Paradise Community Church, and Influencers Church). The Divine Coincidence is Tian's first memoir-a heartfelt reflection on faith, resilience, and the unmistakable fingerprints of God through every valley and breakthrough.
