As a bilingual writer in Bangla & English, and being the exponent of the international Prakalpana Movement, he has been published in several countries and has visited many countries. Edited PrakalpanA LiteratureE and kOBISENa. Performer of poetry with songs & music. His mail arts were exhibited in several international mail art exhibitions.

Yet his journey as a writer has not been without challenges, as the Wikipedia noted: "Chandan's work, theories and role as a harbinger of the experimental and avant-garde ...literary movement in India have surrounded him with controversy."
